DOLEN FFERMIO UGANDA OPPORTUNITIES 

Dolen Ffermio has had a rural community link in Kamuli for over 25 years and another in Ngora district since 1998.  It has considerable experience in helping to deliver projects in Uganda, together with raising awareness of world food and farming issues world-wide and in Uganda particularly. Chairperson Lorna Brown has been visiting Uganda since 1991, and now Dolen Ffermio has dedicated volunteer teams in Uganda involved with running agro-forestry, livestock and renewable energy projects (solar and biogas) and detailed Permaculture programming.

To reach their objective, Dolen Fermio closely with BEU seek to recruit a highly experienced and fully committed Programs Manager.

Location: Kamuli District.

Reports: Consultant & Dolen Ffermio Chairperson Kamuli District.

Duration: 1 Year and Renewable Contract.

General Duties and Responsibilities

v  Provide Leadership, Management and Technical Direction for the Project objectives.

v  Plan and share ideas on Project Implementation

v  Oversee the Project Progress according to the Plan

v  Make field visits to relevant project activities most of the time

v  Report project progress to the Consultant and Chairperson Dolen Ffermio Kamuli,

v  Flexiable to participate in Farm Activities as programed within the Organisation.

v   

Qualifications and Competence

Diploma in Project Planning and Management  in addtion to a Permaculture Design Course Certificate. or Degree in Agriculture and comprehensive knowledge in agriculture or any related practical Equivalent.  

v  Strong ability to collaborate and build partnership with relevant government departments and communities.

v  At least 1-2 years’ experience working in this field

v  Strong verbal and written Communication Skills

v  Demonstrated ability to manage Finances and computer basic packs.

v  Fluency in English, Luganda and Lusoga
